Fibbing on Love

I read your advice. "It's the distance that preserves love."


My heart is wrapped like the meat my grandmother kept in the ice box. I think it is in hers. I put it in one, hers or a different one. I tried to hang on to my lovers, but their heavy ambitions broke my hands. You know I desire you despite my distaste for the male body and, at times, soul. Even if I make up the yearning in stories, the dreams preserve the realness. We will do this forever, and also know that we can spend our time in heaven practicing the greatest love and the epic of romances, but we know why it aches.
