If Love Were in The Garden

Under the moonlight in the garden,

When we adored everything we had to say,

When we longed to speak our hearts,

But life wouldn't allow it,

When you shielded me from thorns,

And life bloomed.

It was the wind again, and the flowers

Craved your water, your life,

And the air sought oxygen from my heart.

You looked into my eyes before we parted,

Saying, "I just don't know."

I replied, "I'll return to the garden

In no time."

I already knew it,

And by midnight, we were entwined.

I breathed life into you,

You quenched my thirst.

Life couldn't hinder us,

Trees danced in our honor,

Mountains moved for us,

And the moon sang to us:

“Be still and let it be,

You’ll find love is kind,

and the sun always shine

Love yourself—

You Love yourself,

Split your hearts

And make them one.”
